Integrity, knowledge, dependability, loyalty. These are just a few of the leadership traits instilled in the hearts and minds of US Marines everywhere. These are also traits I strive to bring to my mortgage business. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or downsizing, you can expect to receive the courtesy and respect you deserve.
My mortgage career started in 1991 after my wife and I bought our first house in November 1990. Being a Marine Corps. Veteran, we chose to use my VA Home Loan Entitlement to buy our house, and the lending experience we had left a lot to be desired. Our lender seemed not to understand the VA loan process at all, and how our individual loan officer spoke to us throughout the process made us feel inadequate, confused, and unworthy.
It’s been nearly thirty-three years since that November day, and I still remember feeling the uncertainty of not knowing if we would close. I use this as motivation when working with my clients to avoid situations that would cause the same emotions for them. Closing Day should be a happy occasion, not filled with stress and confusion!
I’m a South Jersey native, and with the exception of my time in the Marine Corps., I have lived my entire life here. I’ve been married to my best friend Karen for 37 years. We have two grown daughters who, along with their husbands, have given us three beautiful grandchildren. If I find spare time, I enjoy playing golf, cooking on the grill and smoker, and being “Pops” to Nona, Jules, and Ram-Jam.
