Dan has been in the financial industry since 2000 and serving the Central Florida area (Ocala, The Villages and surrounding area) in residential mortgage lending exclusively since 2010. Dan and his wife, Laurie, have been married since July of 1998 and have two sons, Grandin (17) and Andrew (12). Grandin has earned himself a scholarship as a kicker on the football team for Norfolk State University in Norfolk Virginia and Andrew is an excellent student and very active young man finishing up 6th grade at Ft. King Middle School in Ocala. Besides the mortgage business Dan has 2 other big passions, one is being a coach for Loan Officers that are students of the same group that he has been a student of for a little over 3 years now. Dan loves to share the proven system of the Freedom Club, along with his own insights/experiences to help Loan Officers reach their goals, serve clients more effectively and have time to be present with their own families. The other passion that Dan has was discovered in July of 2020. Dan and Laurie went to the beach for a long weekend to celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary and took a 3 hour painting class from a Bob Ross Certified Instructor, Dan was absolutely smitten with painting and been in love with painting ever since. Dan had watched Bob Ross for years on PBS when the show was on in the late 1980 & early 1990’s but never gave any thought to painting and certainly never thought of himself as an artist. That has all changed and Dan has completed over 300 originals following along with Bob Ross videos on the YouTube channel and also attending classes at the Bob Ross Workshop in New Smyrna Beach, FL where Master Instructor Nic Hankins runs the Bob Ross studio. Dan and Nic have developed quite a friendship and Dan will complete his instructor certification in the Bob Ross wet on wet oil painting style in September of 2022.
