Meet Steve Davis!

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Angela.  We have two grown sons, Michael and Matthew.  They are making their way in the world.  Angela, after a career in pharmaceutical sales, is assisting her parents age in place.  And I, on weekends, am my mom’s handy man and dinner date.  Folks say we are in the sandwich.  Not sure about that but, like most folks, we are in life up to our arm pits.  We are also dog people but don’t have one at the moment. When there is a break to be had we love the beach and I cook, read, root for the VA Tech Hokies or play golf.

I have been in the mortgage business for 40+ years now.  Back in the ‘80s I was a bank manager trainee who ended up in the mortgage department of a local Savings and Loan.  I found I liked helping people through the paperwork and math of financing a home.  I’ve done just about everything in mortgage lending, but my favorite part is hearing a perspective homeowner tell me their hopes and dreams of owning a house and helping them figure out how to take their financial parts and pieces and make it all work.  Their smile at the closing table when they are handed the keys never gets old.

Since I started, I have been privileged to be involved in a few 1,000 mortgage transactions using every mortgage loan tool available.  My promise to each client is that they will know what loan product they are getting into, that the numbers they have been told will be as accurate as possible, and that my team and I care a lot that the transaction goes right.  I treat all applicants the same regardless of credit, income, position, or price of the house.  Everyone deserves an opportunity to be a homeowner if they want to be.  I want to earn that next smile.
